It doesn't take too much in the intake windows to make a noticeable difference.

For a stock reedblock this is all that is really needed, because the flow is directed by the reed block and air never hits a lot of the window area. Now if you In tend to run the taz intake on it then the top of the window will need better transitioning and the bottom of the middle piece will need more work as well. But I hope the scooter gets running again so anything like this will be of benefit :-)

Again excuse my lack of experience, but which bearings do I need? Is the process self explanatory or difficult? Are seals like gaskets and which do I need?
Thank you all so much for your help already.
Here's the link to the website with the bearings I might need: http://www.powersportsplus.com/parts/se ... parts.html

Replacing these bearings is not a trivial process and requires a couple special tools. Read the manual and you'll see what I mean. You may want to just find a used case with crank, or another engine.

Sorry.

Thanks so much for the input! I think I might just swap in a new engine though, there are too many special tools to buy. Too bad, I was looking forward to learning how to redo the bottom end and learn something. Anyone have a spare spree engine?
