right, thats what would happen. the slide would stop too high, acting like the throttle is open.

exactly! darn i forgot to mention the thought of putting the slide the wrong way, I even did that before once... late night = no remember. :?

Needel Valve......Throttle piston slide......all part of the same peace. :wink:

just wanted to say thanks guys. One of the spree's is all fixed and runs great like before. It was the throttle piston slide. It's keyed and should only be installed one way. I did it this morning and worked like a charm. Now the other scooter the tang that the throttle piston lines up with is for the most part completly broke off. There is some wear marks on it so I'm going to try and line it up but if doesn't work I guess I'm screwed and need a new carb. Oh well beginners luck I guess. LOL

there is 2 i believe in that carb to line it up.
