My electric start isn't working, but that bystarter needle is always out. It should rest inside the brass tube?

Yes, if you try to mess with the electic choke than it might work.

Take off the brake levers and check make sure the plungers aren't stuck, also check the wires at the starter and main harness.

After carb cleaning part deux with special attention to the idle jet hole. It seems to be starting ok. I have to wait for it to warm up outside so I can get my rim and repaired tire on so I can evaluate if its truly working correctly....

Thanks again for all the help guys I couldn't have done it without ya!

Next project ( assuming everything is ok carb and engine wise )- getting the electic starter to work and fixing my front brake!
