Well I woke up this morning to a box full of goodies. My CT intake, and carb arrived. Spending the day setting it up and making an adapter from my reed cage. Anyone know where to get a throttle cable that will work for this?

scooter assassins has one pretty reasonabably priced

It would have been cheaper if you had gotten a kit that came with the cable, carb, mani, and filter :D

The only thing that makes me nervous about that cable is the lack of description. Does anyone second the motion suggested by representative mystic that I buy the aforementioned cable?

That looks like the one that I get from VT cycles for $5 less, and Hawaii is on the US Post office route so you'll probably get it much faster. That description says it all. Yes, it has the extra adjustment in the middle. Nice carb/mani set up. Looking good so far. Also try Daywot's ebay site, he sells the same cable seperately as well.....

Nice! looks good! Beware those ct manifolds dont seal well. Almost every motor ive pressure test would leak a little bit at the manifold no matter how much I would tighten it down. One way is so sand the gasket surface down smoother to take out the roughness. Or you could Cafefully use some RTV on the gaskets and bolts.
Here is a pic taken from trafficjams that shows how poor the gasket surface is.

You just have to gut the stock reed cage and use it as a spacer. It works great. I will take some pics later.
