Gutted the cage and port matched it to the intake, I also took a little off the part hanging down because it blocked about a quarter of the ports going to the cylinder.
Inside view.
Sealed up nice.
I highly recommend doing this. Its super easy, just need a hack saw blade, some files, and sand paper.
Picking up my BBK in half an hour. MIGHT even have enough for an SP3, even though I would rather a V8 but I don't want to go through the trouble of having it chopped and welded.
BBK On. HEAT SHROUD ON. New throttle cable installed. Waiting on my jets and oil pump plug to arrive. Also ordered a Trail Tech temp gauge to keep an eye on my CHT. REALLY cant wait to fire this thing up. Even if it is just to heat cycle it a few hundred times.
The guy I got the main jets from was weaverperformance on ebay. He doesnt really have much for sale right now but later on, who knows. The slow jets were from www.adaracing.com
Decided to bolt my engine back on the Elite. You get a few funny looks when you walk around downtown with a whole engine and wheel. Still waiting on my oil pump plug and main jets to arrive. Should be tomorrow, then I can start heat cycling it.
