I can really use someone's help here with a problem on my '05 Elite CH80. I went to do my first oil change and pulled off the bolt that I thought was the oil drain bolt, on the bottom of the engine next to the neck of the oil dipstick tube. Well, after I pulled off this bolt (14mm) out comes a long spring and another piece that appears to look like a lifter. Its my understading that this is a cam chain tensionor. The cam piece has a removable plastic part that fits into the end and there are four holes on the sides. Now I'm stuck because I don't know how these go back in. It appears that the spring fits into what I would assume would be the bottom of the cam and if I were to put it all back in the lifter would go in first, plastic piece facing up and the spring in next.
Can anyone help here with this? I don't have a service manual for a CH80 so I have nothing to refer to and I not a mechanic by any means.
