Tire replacement

Post by clint »

Hi all
I had to replace my rear tire on my Spree. So I went down to the dealership to buy a set of 2.5X10 replacements. The guy at the store said that they cross over to an 80/90X10. I got home and mounted the tires no problem (I thought). When it came time to set the bead I run about 120psi the bead set, and I lowered the tire presser to 25psi as recommended on the tire side wall. Once I did this the bead slipped down on the rim and the tire doesn't sit right. Any suggestion? Also does anyone know where to get tubeless valve stems for these rims?
thanks
Clint

I did clean the rim well and lubricated with silicone spray.
The tire brand is Chenetshin.
Mounting the tire is not the problem; it's just when I lower the tire presser to 25 psi as the tire side wall calls for the bead slips down and doesn't sit right. Any help would be great.
Thanks

Silicon spray is a lubricant and all it is used for in this case is to help the tire mount better
