What tire pressure are you running with your 90/90?

I set the pressure at 28psi cold, and my wife says the 90/90 feels a little squirrelly going around corners as opposed to the 2.75 that it replaced. The wheel appears to be very straight and true to my eye, but I did not set up a dial indicator. Any ideas?

the elite with a 1.85x10 inch rim and 3.00 tires, is 18psi up front, and 33psi in back. i was wonderring what they say the dio to run for the tires front and back.

Have you tested with an alternate gauge? Does it feel soft to you?

When i had my met rim i ran it around 33psi in the rear. YMMV

My 87 came with 2.75" tires and calls for 18psi front and 28psi rear.

I did not try a different gauge, but I have a few of them kicking around, lol...

I may try 33psi regardless of any discrepancy between the gauges. Thanks!

I run close to 35 psi in my 90/90 on a met rim

Try pushing in with you thumbs on the tire if its feels bit soft put more air in.I stopped using a tire gauge.You should just be able to push in a little.lets a lot of air out trying to check on the straight valve stem.

So the metropolitan rear wheel will work on the spree? Does that mean the brakes can be swapped? What about the metropolitan front wheel/ brake?

Or is there something better?

Although a 90/90 and even a 3.50 will fit on the 1.85" Aero/elite rims, it's not ideal. The beads are pinched too closely together, and the carcass bows up like a light bulb.
This allows the tread too much slack and it can squirm palpably around corners. Running sidewall Max pressure stiffens 'em up a bit but still possibly squirrelly ride. Do use a tube on non-tubeless rims or risk catastrophic deflation.
Both sizes work much better on the tubeless 2.15 Met rims for which they're designed.

Yes Netek, the Met rims fit the Aero and Elite models, but NOT Sprees due to brake hub incompatibility.

I'll leave it to people with actual Spree/Dio swap experience to add on, but the Met wheel should pose no additional bodywork clearance problems beyond those encountered with the regular Elite wheel.
