Post by ANDREW »

Hey guys just another stupid question for you all, do you think with the 48mm bbk plus gears and a modified pocket bike pipe i will see 43 mph? I only weigh 130 pounds haha

I think it is possible. You will be able to flow a lot of exhaust, will your intake handle it though? That is your next restriction.

No it probably wont work to good with the stock intake, i do know the general rule is more exhaust out, more air in. I am going to try to make my own carb adaptor for a del 17 mm carb, i think that would be big enough.

good luck with that 43mph i achieved had the group effort of ppl (traffic jamz and spreetard) with hours of porting and tuning i had 44mm taz gears and washer mod and im 170 your gonna need a huge amount of porting, if you do the math the gears only get you to 38 39 mph then you have to figure out how to over come the carb issue with the 48 the 44 was manageable but you can still feel it wanting more (pilot jet) your not gonna just slap all these parts together and go fast your gonna need a lot of time in porting and tuning and the right parts match up to get in the mid 40's

I do realize it takes alot of work to tune and what not, i am looking for speed but i cant decide what to do mod the spree or mod a dio engine and i know you can only do so much to a spree engine because it dose not have a variable front pully, if i can find a dio engine for a reasonable price i will go down that path and mod that but if i cant then i will do my best to get as much speed as i can out of the spree.
