Bearing loose in the cover/case

If the a bearing is not snug in the case is there anything you can do beside replacing the cover or the case half?

Nope! But chances are the bearing or bushing on the other end of the shaft is screwed also.

You can get an industrial shim or weld the bearing in place depending on the application. You can have the case filled, then machine it to spec.
