replaced the needle valve, still wont run..

ive checked the tank.. there is sediment but nothing stuck to filter, i replaced the needle, ans it still will not run, ive got spark, it runs for like 5 seconds when the throttle stop is all the way out. what??? makesd no sense.

and throttle causes it to die right away.. wont even start when the throttle is pulled back

Hello: I know it's no fun, but clean the carb. again. follow the instructions in the wiki spreedia on this forum. no one likes to clean the carb several times but seems to be a constant with these things. also check the torgue and gaskets of the complete intake. orings, reed gaskets. Lately ive had my carb apart numerous times and still unable to find my particular problem. good luck

Your problem sounds like a Classic Case o' Carb Crud. Remove, dismantle and thoroughly clean that carb, again. Search for and find the Tiny Pin-* O' Light. Don't reinstall until you have Seen tha' Light. Great God a'Mighty!! Ah have see-yun (rhymes with green...) tha' Light!!

Cleaned, but not cleaned properly to fix the problem.

Did you do this when you replaced the needle?

If the seat is bad a new needle will fix nothing, as you found out.

Is the float bad?

floats good.. the seat isnt replaceable. its solid in the carb. but i cleaned the livin s*** out of it, turns out the needle i ordered was bad. took to the shop they had me send ir back. new one will be here in 5 das.
