The article is biased to 4 stroke water cooled bikes, not sure it's applicable.badasspree wrote:i am rebuilding my top end from an old engine, and i need to know, how should i break it in? should it be easy or hard? normal? check this article out: http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm

Personally, I'd take a couple of hours and run the thing around at about 1/2 to 3/4 throttle for about 30-50 miles or so, varying the speed. Note that this would take planning with a Spree, since at 25 MPH or so it will take you 2 solid hours of riding to do this.

cir-clips should be installed with opening at 12:00.
You may loose them in the cylinder if not installed correctly.
Good luck, greg
