painting exhaust

Post by MaskedJellybean »

I want to repaint my exhaust since it's all rusty looking. What kind of paint do I need? Does it come in spray cans? I know it has to be heat resistant... And where could I get it? :?: Also, I saw a picture of a spree on here before where the small metal peice on the side of the exhaust was chrome. Is that just paint? :?

Stove paint. Cheap, comes in flat black, sticks to everything.

High temp engine paint isn't (usually) meant for exhausts. High temp for an engine block is like 220 F. An exhaust can reach 700 F easily.

Stove/BBQ paint does wear off. Good thing it's cheap and flat.
