I say this because i think mine is leaking there too with the other gaskets. i put some silicon on there this morning waiting for it to set. you might try that if you are out of options :P
Well that didnt help. I did notice that once the bystarter extends out, it wants to die. I have almost decided to just part it out at this point

i'm going to try cleaning the carb again and see if that helps.

But the thing won't turn off once its running. you can turn the key off but it won't kill the engine. I took the plastics off and all the wires seem to be connected. i tried unhooking the black striped wire and just touching it to the frame to try and ground it but that didn't kill the engine. where does the green wire attach to the frame to ground it?

are you sure? i checked the manual but can't seem to confirm this. it seems to be a bit vague about how to turn the bike off.

regardless, i call :bs:

I guess my spree would rather run poorly than ever shut off from some lousy key :coolcruise:

swimmingfree wrote:its running rich and hot that is why it wont stop i think - yeah, its probably generating its own spark from the snazzy flux capacitor i installed last week. kind of odd though because i couldn't get a resistance reading from the flux capacitor and i thought it was dead. maybe i was wrong!! :ndance:
