85 spree issues

yup i think black and red touched is how to hot wire and the other 2 wires touched kills it. if it doesnt you are going to have to trace all your ground wires to find where it is not connected

if the ignition is in the off position will it start.. or have a spark?
if it not the switch is fine ..

I guess the ignition is shot. I tried wiggling the key in the off position and it turned off.

Now if i could just get it to go lol. I cleaned the carb again and it idles fine now when warm but when you give it some gas it just bogs down and wont move. For giggles i tried an 85 jet in it since thats the next smallest jet i have and it seemed like it was trying to go a little better than before but it still just bogs

it has a stock jet in it now. that was just a test.

so here it is running. I replaced the spark plug and that really seemed to help.



it will start up fine and idle fine but it has a miss when you try to ride it and will just bog down. doesn't want to die but it doesn't want to go either. i just put a new spark plug in it and tried a couple different coils but the coils didn't change anything.

not mad but you should of said about the jet .. step one is to get it running then do mod on it that wat you can alway go back to stock!!!!

on to the new thing what color is the plug ? is it wet ?is there inn thing els you did to it ??? dose it shot off by the key??

you may have a loos connection in the wire .. air filter not in the right spot or it needs to be clean or a air leek some were

yeah, it has about 115

did you look at the wiring harness to make sure there are soled Ive had mine come loos on the road and it did the same thing

have you measured float level and checked to see if the valve needle is worn? the level is 12mm from the housing i think

Fixed it. The cdi unit is bad. that also fixed the the problem i was having with shutting the bike off. Now everything works great!
