oko bowl mod

Post by evilone »

Not sure if anyone has posted this mod before.
I happened to take pics so figured i'd post them.
I open up the bowl for easy access to the pilot jet so the bowl stays on all the time.

Does the plug still seal? If so I may do this. I hate taking the bowl off and trying to wedge that brass tube out of the float.

Greetings:

Clever Idea, EvilOne!
I usually drop the carb to swap jets. Maybe I'm overworking? Got a Stubby screwdriver to access the Pilot's slot? I'd probably need a mirror and a trained Rhesus monkey to do the actual unscrewing. Thick, Stiff Wheel-fingers not as nimble as I'd like...
This one's copied to Tech Docs for Posterior-ity.

The plug seals on the flat.

I've always wondered why they did not make it this way from the factory.

Good job :2thumbs:

getting the rubber seal for the bowl back in place is a huge PIA.

Actually my oko blk has this... oddly its not actually big enough to get the jet out still. It was a nice thought, I guess.
