I now have spark! See topic "wiring at CDI" for explanation. Thanks to everyone who participated in this topic discussion. Your suggestion and interest helped, even if it was by process of elimination or sick humor. Thanks specifically to Jerry, Tippmann98, Noiseguy, Shane4188, vette76 and gadgetman. And my brother.
If the internal wires of the coil check good (input to input and input to high tension) [red] then the coil is good.
Continuity check the following:
FROM plug to CDI to :
Blk/yel to coil (short)
Blu/yel to trig coil (short)
Grn to ground (short)
Blk/red to B+ (+12v key on)
Blk/white to engine stop switch. (open is switch is in 'run')
If wires check good, CDI is faulty
Continuity check the following:
FROM plug to CDI to :
Blk/yel to coil (short)
Blu/yel to trig coil (short)
Grn to ground (short)
Blk/red to B+ (+12v key on)
Blk/white to engine stop switch. (open is switch is in 'run')
If wires check good, CDI is faulty
