87 honda elite 50 boggs and wants to shut off

i have a 87 honda elite starts with kick start fine, runs good but when i get to a stop sign and slow down to a stop it wants to shut off!!! other then this it runs great.. here is the link to my build post http://www.hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewto ... 16&t=24404

also may need my carb adjusted but idk

that crapy pod filter you have aint gonna help.Its now running lean when your not at WOT thats assumeing you hav up jetted the main jet if not the your lean all the time

go back to the stock air box this aint a 4 stroke its a 2 stroke

Holy * dude we told u over and over agin I are going to run tooooo lean with th pod filter do u know what that means???? It means not enought fuel oil in the chamber and if that happens ure engine can seize.... There are two ways to fix this upjet (bigger main jet) or get the stock filter plain and simple tuning tips can be found in ure manual

One if you read my build post I do not have a oem air box that's why I had to get this one

Second I did not ask anything about if I had to upjet or not I know I have to do this..

And third please go back to school and learn to spell thank you

My motor is not over heating also If you read above in my post I gave y'all a link to my build

do you have a gage???
have you done a plug crop??? lite brow is not good it shood be a dark brow

as for your other post you have been told that the motor will over heat becase your running lean and it will fry the motor
if you are going to not up jet the carb .. then tape off most of the air filter so it be richer mix

Yes I have a gauge thank you and I have plugged almost all of the air filter inside and it still wants to shut off

Not tuning for temps you need to adjust ure idle screw in an probably ure mixture screw our ure shooting for 1800 Rpms but tuning will be pointless until u upjet
