SE50 work in progress

Post by memberzs »

I decided I was due for some fresh paint. and while i have everything apart id like to replace a few things that are long over due. Im looking for a belt but the napa belt just doesn't seem to last very long with my set up also would you guys suggest a better spark plug?

my set up is:
derestricted ramp plate
leo vince sp3 exhaust
#85(If i recall correctly may be higher) carb jet
and 3.5" rear tire
the belt wore seemingly quickly once i installed the new exhaust and ramp plate, but i also put way more miles on it, near 2k miles.
its a not my daily rider anymore but could be if i had a belt that will last me.

Greetings:

The Bando belt from Honda really is hard to beat. Polini and Malossi make them in slightly different lengths with reputedly better performance, but Bandos last at least as long.

A 3.50 might be a PITA to fit. Some brands, and perhaps some crankcases require extensive grinding around the exhaust boss on the crankcase. I strongly recommend a 90/90 instead. Even then, you'lll have to move and/or modify the centerstand, but at least the case clearance isn't a problem. A 2.15 Met wheel is wider and suits the profile of either tire better, plus you can run tubeless.

The 3.t has no rub but is a very close fit. Also I had a major set back. The dog decided to grab the bucket containing all my body buts bolts and screws and now they are throughout my back yard. I may get a bando for the honda shop here if not ill be making an order to daywot.

memberz, do you know, or can somebody answer what the sizes are for the nuts and bolts and screws for the body panels. We could even have a moderator sticky these.

I know I am missing a bunch, an I am not that good at eyeing it.

Greetings:

Unless the Blizzard has blown through PNW-town, you could ax Santa for one of these and patrol the back yard. Then have the dog sent for Attitude Re-training in WangDhong Province, China.
