the tip of the pipe is not the important part the chamber and header pipe lengh is

as you have been told try a stock pipe or get a aftermarket pipe .Your se50 should do at least 45mph the exhaust is holding you back

F the pipe? continue to go S-L-O-W.... Listen to what you are told and you won't stay at the back of the pack.... The pipe is key!

then you will continue having issues. a stock restricted pipe will do 40mph.

you wont be able to dail in the variater to get good power and top speed without a good exhaust tuned for the motor .You give alot of advise on these forums i kinda thought you know about exhausts and 2 strokes you cant just slap em together and go

last try ...
the trick to tuning the variator is to keep it in the power band??? right??? when you tuning when you do it shood top speed be at the top of the power band or shood it go over the top of the power band ????

look the pipe is your issue! you cant get it to rev past 8500! a stock unrestricted pipe will rev past 9k and mph wise a stock motor with stock 10to1 gears can topout at around 55mph. your no where near that. for one if your gears are stock and your using that light weight and only change it 1 gram heavier and you go even slower thats why im saying your pipe is tge problem. if your not going to bother and listen then we are done trying to help you. you seem to make like you know everything about these motors so figure it out yourself.

I think people confuse a variator with a final drive.. the variator gets the motor to peak rpm ( when tuned correctly) but at the end of the day the final drive determines the top speed. If you are fully variated and only able to run 40 but geared for 50 your motor is not turning the rpm it should. Carb tuning.. pipe etc.. something is wrong.

Although I dont really agree with not expansion chamber exhausts on 2strokes a untuned chamber on a 2stroke will not work.
