Any way to service the Spree Starter Motor?

Post by SpreeWilly »

Hello,

I'm reassembling my Spree after it was brutally kidnapped and torn to shreds.
I bought a used starter motor that seems to be in pretty good shape.
Still, it is used. I'm wondering if there's a way to service my used starter motor to promote longevity (i.e. instructions to take it apart and re-lube any inner-workings, replace any bearings, etc.). I'm disappointed not to see anything on the WikiSpreedia's tech page.

I'm all ears.

Greetings:

Manual says connect to 12 V DC. If it spins, it's good. Wait until it's not working beford attempting to disassemble unless you have electric motor experience. It works now. It may not if you mess with it.
