paint job

Post by mopedrider »

I'm wanting to give my spree a new paint job, and I was wondering if you could just use spray paint that is made to stick to plastic, since the front fender and handle bar covers are plastic. Is there a certain type of paint to use or somthing?

From what I have read about painting moped plastic, it is best to spend like $50-100 in supplies to get the job done right. I think by just using a few coats of spray paint you end up with a lumpy, chipping paint job that looks and feels tacky. However, I have heard from several sources that a solid $50-100 in supplies with a bit of guidance and dedication can go a long way for paint jobs. Hopefully somebody will chime in with some more info on the subject. For now you can probably find a few topics about the same thing on these forums to get a feel for what to expect.
