DD built set up

Post by blunt_oneism »

Hey, guys I need help with tuning my moped and getting right weights, jetting, gearings, springs, etc. Here's my set up.
- DD motor
- 72 polini corsa
- 44.4mm mini stroker
- pg long pipe
- cone air filter
- 6pcs of 7 grams weights
- 7 to 1 gearings
- 28 oko carb 135 main/50 pilot
- 1500 center spring (yellow)
- 1000 clutch spring (blue)
- 92 octone gas premix 3oz per gallon (around 40:1)
- I weight 130 pounds

It bogs at first when it's not warmed but it runs good after. It runs with temp around 300F-350F when cruising 50mph-60mph. It gets little faster than 70mph top speed but it feels like it could go faster and my temp goes around 400F when I full throttle so I stay away from doing that too much.

So guys, what can be done to make my dd better and faster? Any change in jettings, weights, gearings, springs, etc?

Some people say put 4oz per gallon (32:1) and that seems to much to me but does it run better than 3 oz per gallon?

Shouldnt bee seeing temps that high on wot. You may have a small air leak in your case or intake manifold. Also your port timing and compression might be in the wrong place because of the mini crank. Make sure your compression is between 125-135psi or your pre igniting the mixture any higher. I see alot of guys having temp problems associated with too much compression
