Never tried one of those kits, I just saw them on ebay the other day. If they are any good and are cheap enough it would be worth it. A new float valve from Honda is 20$ here from the dealer and the float is $40. Welcome to Canada ;-)

IMHO - I'd skip over the clone rebuild kit and get gasket kit from Honda - about $10, along with an OEM float needle for $11-$12.

--
Spree carb kit eBay seller 'wincycles' also sells clone 'Spree' carbs. I have similar parts in a clone carb from the same seller.

-- Observations
The float needle has a metal tip vs OEM's rubber. This may cause wear of the carb body.
Needle tip angle differs. Thus the needle will not match taper of the float seat. (See second pic below)
Needle length is longer. Float likely required user adjustment - see pic of an as-received float from a clone carb. It's tab was twisted to adjust the level.

-- Pic - marked up from eBay sellers pic
For float needle comparison, OEM is on top, clone on bottom

I figured it was too good to be true. OEM or NOS is always the best route. I tried a after market kit for a mustang mach 1
carb and finally had to do over with Barry Grant one. thanks for the detailed info. I wish honda had a kit as complete. So far all I find are parts here and there. thanks again

looks to me like that kit would cause more troubles than it would fix.
