87 Honda Elite 50 starting issues

I found a pair of 87 Honda Elite 50s. I got one running and the other is giving me trouble. I have cleaned the carb. and dumped the old gas. They have been sitting for a long time. I can get the bike to run if I put gas in the cylinder and also if I choke it by putting my hand over the air filter boot. I have 2 of the same model so I am thinking of swapping parts to figure this out. When I pulled the main jet out it came out in 2 pieces, I am not sure if it broke or the emulsion tube is supposed to be separate. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I am also looking for front blinkers and the plastic glove basket. It seems mine were used as dirt bikes and that is all busted or missing. Thanks Tom

if i was you i wood swap the carb first...its not hard to miss some crap in the carb ... and yes the tube dose come out of the carb not a big deal....

It should be of some help for you to identify missing parts needed.

I swapped the carbs and it runs fine. I just ordered a new carb for $22 off e bay and some mirrors. Thanks for your help.
