Petcock cover

Post by speedy25 »

How is that silly square piece of plastic that covers the petcock below the seat supposed to stay on? I cant tell from poor pics in the manual. Mine doesnt seem to have any clips or tabs to hold it on.

There is a metal tab that Honda uses to hold the Spree petcock cover on, it goes under the acorn nut. That factory part is too short ( in my opinion) and frequently that cover falls off. I simply make a longer tab and cadmium plate it, nobody has noticed that mod on any of my Spree's and the covers never fall off.
