First post! Need advice for replacing exhaust

Hi everyone, I've owned an 85 spree for a couple months now and I love it! I had it stolen from me, but I was fortunate enough to get it back. Unfortunately, some damage was done to it

Most notably there is now a hole in the muffler. It has also become annoyingly loud, and has lost some power (new top speed of 24). The muffler was already in awful condition so I figured it's time to buy a replacement for it.

My question: should I buy a different model exhaust, or should I buy the same model exhaust it has now (stock)? Thanks in advance for any responses!

P.s. anyone reading this know where I could buy the red plastic piece that covers the taillight?

I would really think about that offer from graphite 9. A decent used spree exhaust is not easy to find on ebay. It would be worth welding the header on. The mlm tuned pipe is wicked but do you want to spend $200 for it not sure.

Most every large city has guys who will part out scooters and sell used parts. Near where I live there are four guys who have extensive Spree part collections.
If you cannot find a pipe near your house, contact me and I will provide contact info, I am positive at least one, if not all four will have a Spree pipe, I am sure if you pay for shipping they would UPS it to you.

That is where you get the Mlm pipe. Treatland had some a month or so ago. Devon makes a lot of pipes and products they might just be out of spree pipes. I love my mlm pipe. I have the very first prototype that Devon made.

Those pipes rock. It will be a sin to not have the option to get them. At least I have mine I have the express version too.

You might be able to find a simar pipe to weld on to a header pretty pretty cheap from webbike Japan as well. But the easiest way to go is the exhaust that graphite 9 has. The shipping will be warp9 speed and you will be up and running quicker.

Wow, you guys are great. Thanks for all the responses. Thanks so much graphite for that offer. My only reserves are that I dont have any welding experience or tools, and my current pipe is so rusted and gunked with carbon idk if it would be worth transferring over. Here is a picture of it. I'll check if there's a welder near me. Should'nt cost too much, right? (I'm a college student on a right budget).

Also, excuse my ignorance, but which part exactly is the header?

Greetings:

The "Header" is the beginning part of the exhaust that bolts to the cylinder.

The way to get that welded is to find your local neighborhood welding shop take the can from graphite9 and the original pipe and possibly the scooter as well tell them you want the can on the header. If you have the plastics off so they can get the old pipe off then they will be able to mount the header and the new can on the scooter and get it all lined up and welded nicely.

before I bought an af16 swap I was looking into getting a mlm spree pipe.

got in contact with Devon and guys at treatland.tv around early August, was told that it would come in in a few weeks.

it's been 4+ more weeks and they still aren't in yet. so, i'm not sure what's going on with them.

I wouldn't worry too much, Devon has added a ton of new products lately so he is probably just backed up.
