Spree Big Bore Kit

Post by btosi »

Hi All,

I installed a 47mm big bore kit on my wife's spree. I followed the instructions, added the extra holes in the lid of the air box, used the included main jet and am adding additional oil to the gas at 40:1(3.2oz per gallon). The scooter fouls plugs once a day, they are completely covered in an oily residue. If I do not add any oil to the gas and only use what is injected it runs fine, I am just afraid to run it like that for a long period time. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks

Maybe the extra oil is just too much with the conditions you have. That kit will need the extra oil to survive What is the gap on the plug possible its a little big and firing right. Also what is the heat range on the plug.

Greetings:

You do need a LITTLE extra oil in the fuel, but 40:1 plus the pump puts you close to 25:1. WAAY too much oil. Mix the tank oil at no more than 80:1.
