Big stroker casing issues

Post by Spooneg6 »

Has anyone found a solution for when cutting the cases for the big 52.6mm crank casing screws? As in for no loss of case pressure and for the 4 main bolts to not strip or wear off ? Has anyone tried putting longers screws that surpass to the other side with nuts to tighten both cases for dependable case pressure?

I never done one before. but here's a video from Diospeeddemon. I think he only uses three bolts through the case? and taps larger bolts on the other holes? hope this helps.

Dont you have the oil pump in place still? You need to plug that off if you do

I used copper washers and hondabond on mine. I tested the cases with air pressure and they hold. viewtopic.php?f=16&t=30818

If you want to keep your primary as high as possible you will want to plug your oil pump area as much as possible. It's a huge area that the plug does not fill. The exposed case bolt holes deffinetly doesn't help so you want to make that up some where else.

Yea i kind of figured they would be welded back together , but the longer screw idea seems better to me , i want to take my block apart one last time to port the intake

One of mine is drilled all the way through, and the one I bought from dsd is not. We used honda bond for all the bolt holes on both side. Copper washers on both sides would be a good extra step for measure.
