Aarens, the guy in Hudsonville with the major stash of parts uses the name on this site " MopedMark" but he hasn't posted here in almost a year.
Mark has mass quantities of Spree stuff, his shop is on Port Sheldon near Wendy's. He is a great resource of Spree information also, he knows how to fix them too.
If I uncover his phone number I will PM you with it. ( not sure he wants it posted here )

Yes Mike is right the battery has no effect on how the scooter runs it mainly operates the starter. Like he said main jet is clogged. or the airbox is not hooked up or has a big leak. Both scenarios will give that kind of issue.

I got it running just not well. I just need help cleaning and taking apart a few parts now. I went to that scooter shop out on Plainfield and they said it could be a dirty petcok. How would I go about cleanin that?

But John if you could find his number that'd be great. I rode by the Wendy's earlier today and it's only a hop skip and a jump away from me
