Best alternatives for NGK BPR6HS

Post by noiseguy »

Folks:

This is probably splitting hairs, but wanted some feedback on best alternatives for the NGK plugs used in Spree.

There are *many* alternative plugs that will fit, but wanted any feedback on favorite US-dominant brands like Autolite, Champion, Motocraft that are more readily available on US mainland. Full list here, for anyone interested: http://www.sparkplug-crossreference.com ... _PN/bpr6hs

Years ago I wrote up a wiki article on this listing what was (at the time) easy to buy around Michigan. I'll update the article if there's anything new / interesting to be learned. http://hondaspree.net/wiki/index.php5?t ... Plug_Chops

Thanks, NG

Hey man, those Denso's are #W24FS-U and cross reference directly to NGK #B8HS
They are non-resistor spark plugs made in Japan.
These are not usually locally available at auto parts stores but can find them at m/c shops possibly.
OG Bonesv? See you at the track junior!
Noiseguy: Wow! That is some list you got there!!! Well, I have not used any other brands besides NGK. They always have them at local auto parts store. Go figure, there's probably 4to5000 scooters here in KW!!!

Yeah, I know. I think new scooters go to tourist rental first, then the locals pick them up after they've been dropped a couple hundred times.

I watched one guy and his girl in KW trying to figure out how to put a newer Yamaha on its center stand. I finally jumped in once he came close to dropping it. I really don't know why they don't put kickstands on this things OEM... scooters are MC entry level for a lot of folks and center stands are a bit tricky for the layperson.
