Any other barrel fit 125 aero/lead 83

Hi, Iv picked up a 1983 Honda lead (aero in states) needs new piston and rebore at least, and I haven had the head with it yet?
So what I'm wondering is if anyone fitted a different tuned top end on one? Like aprilia/ piaggio it would also open up lots of tuning routes then too?
Someone here fitted a 70cc piaggio top end on his 50cc melody and it's a flyer, but he did have to do fair bit of work on the casings for them to match up

Just to put a fine point on the topic,
the Aero 125 did not exist in the USA until 1984,
and then promptly disappeared. ...
I have never heard of any alternative cylinders mated to that engine.

Yeah the stroke is quite different to others Iv looked up, Iv ordered a +1mm piston, so il get it rebored and try it, next step is find a suitable carb?

I can report flawless and impressive performance from the Mikuni 24mm flat-slide that I installed on my stock bore Aero 125. The duration of use so far is approximately 8,000 miles. I would repeat this and have no regrets.
The intake manifold is CT...mated to the case with a custom-made adapter plate.

I would love to see a Piaggio bore fit and work on a vert honda. I work at a vespa/piaggio dealership and I have a lot of experience with both piaggio 50s and honda 50s in all forms. I'll take my stock honda af05e and af16 cylinders into work tomorrow and see if there's any way on God's green earth it would fit. The exhaust port is 100% going to be the wrong angle.
Unfortunately for the lead 125/nh125 /aero 125 it is the big dog of honda 2t scooter bore size.
I wish they shared the same bolt pattern as the other cases but they do not. Much wider.

A Peugeot vertical cylinder fits and maybe that's what he's using but a horizontal piaggio cylinder I've never heard of or seen. I've fitted a Peugeot vert cylinder on an af16.

It looked a lot of work, but he sent me pics, he built the cases up with weld, then machined the new ports in them, used a 80 rod for the bigger small end bearing, but as its longer, he made a spacer, and now it's an animal for a little 70 pulling power wheelies
