Se50 partially built ***help appreciated***

Post by 808se50 »

So I have rebuilt my afo5e motor with oem 0.25 over with a couple of upgrades such as ct racing manifold,34mm koso carb and some 2k clutch springs removed the oil injector and running a 40:1/44:1 castor 927 mixture to premium gas. Im just curious what should be my operating temperature as its my daily commuter? Max was 40 mph on flat road

I've heard this before, I guess the big carbs don't work. I've got a similar setup and I'm beating your speed, 41 on a flat w a stock carb w uohet, a pump plug, 32:1 random 2t oil (always changing oils, haven't found a favorite), malossi vario n clutch, and uni filter. I think I got 1500 clutch Springs but I wanna go 2k. I think the head temp gauge would be smart but I ain't got one either haha. I dont kno what temp is too high anyway haha.

Wow a 34 carb is way too big! I've seen guys run it but on dirt bikes.

The SE50 and NB50 both use the same gears 11:1 however if you have a
SE50 and the spedometer shows up to 45mph you have 10:1 gears(means you can go faster). On my spree my SE50 engine has a malossi Big Bore kit and with main jet supplied with bbk. also i have malossi cdi I'm easily past 45 and this with stock pipe and carb. I agree a 34mm carb will only guzzle your gas and throw off your Air/Fuel/Oil Ratio. Those size carbs are usually for ATV's and larger displacement dirtbikes

I think 34mm is actually the upgraded weber carb size for a toyota truck w a 4 cylinder btw. Your carb is big enough for a 4 cylinder w 2000cc!
