Spree fouling plugs

My 86 spree has 122 compression and starts up fine. Idles for a good time
Then it dies. Also dies when throttle is given quickly.
I've replaced crank seals. Have checked for vacuum leaks. (None found)
Petcock tested fine. Non OEM bystarter. Verified oiler works. Did seem to run better on premix.
I was fairly certain the ol' autoluber seal failed and the crankcase
had filled with oil. I dropped the engine
flipped it upside down took out the spark plug and started cranking to try and clear the case.
I expected some oil to come out. But nothing. Any help is appreciated.
I have not tested the actual crankcase for air leak. Any help is always appreciated.
Every time it dies the plug is laden in oil. Carb air mixture is 1 7/8 out. Have also tried 1 1/2 out as well.

Seems rich as heck. Maybe a weak spark for some reason, but I'm guessing the bystarter is leaking or staying open

You think trying a couple different Cdi-a might work?

Go back to pre-mix and run it.
Sounds like it's over-oiling to me.

Is the only way to drain is with the intake off? Any tricks to keep from destroying this 30 year old piece of intake plastic?

Pulled the intake and reed cage off successfully. Tipped over and nothing came out over night. Time to pull the head?

So do the CDIs have the ability to produce weak spark? I was thinking they were all or nothing.

I'm not sure... Maybe when they go bad they can produce a weak or intermittent spark signal but that's just a guess on my part I've never had a bad cdi.

So I drained the case...it did have some oil in it. Nothing crazy. My ground wire was shredded but still allowing for spark. Could a bad ground make it cut out when Rpms increase?

fix that ground very well could be cuase post up a pic of the old fouled plug

Clearly, that ground wire was SCORCHED previously...and that NEVER yields good results.
I suspect whatever caused the wire to be so hot has affected the integrity of any associated components.
I would try a different rectifier just to see if anything changes....or CDI maybe too.
