Wondering guys that run a LC BORE do you run both gauges CHT AN WATER? Or just water temp? If both what's your temp readings.. I got both gauges water temp is at 150-170s an CHT was around 190-215 but resently my CHT went higher to 279 but water temp stayed the same??? Thinking air leak, but why is my water temp the same should that be rising too??? Lmk what your temps are at. An your thoughts...

Greetings:

Ping, knock or detonation can heat up a few square cms. of metal quickly. It takes a lot more time for a half-gallon or more of water to warm.

I got that.. but the water temp doesn't rise higher than normal.. the temps usually rise at the same pace.. I'll ride for 1/8 mile at 1/2 throttle an the cht is at 230 an water stays around 150-160 Before this issues the cht temp would be 15-20 degrees higher nothing more?

The cht is taking heat off the head, the water gauge is taking off the water. Water is a thermo insulator, which means the cht will always read higher than water if your radiator and jump are adequate for your setup.

Sounds like either you sprung an airleak or one of your gaues is messing up if it just started doing this.
