Honda spree throttle cable issues
So I've read through some other posts but I can't seem to solve my throttle cable issue. The throttle is lose but as you turn it up there is a little "bump" before you get to the top. When putting the throttle slide into the bore, i am careful to put the long slit into the side towards the rear wheel and engage it with the nub. when it sets in right, there seems to be no resistance with the spring and the whole throttle slide assembly can slide up and down very freely. Im not sure if my issue is with the spring, the needle, the nub being worn down, or something else. Any solutions out there? Also, when the slide is moving around freely, the throttle is still loose with that bump near the top.

Re: Honda spree throttle cable issues
The scenario you describe is leading me to suspect an issue with the cable.
Specifically, possible fray of the internal cable that hangs on the ferrule at each end of the cable housing.
With the slide removed from carb, and cable still attached, operate twist-grip. Notice any "bump" or "catch" when testing this way ?
