headlight problem

Post by nabes »

Hello, I have a 1984 spree. I'm unable to get the headlight, high beam indicator and instrument lights to function. I ran 12volts to the light to make sure it wasn't the bulb. I've looked at the schematic but not sure of what I'm looking at. Should I be getting voltage on the white wire to the rectifier? I don't get anything out of the yellow wire either. Thank You for any help on this matter.

First thing Id check is the plug connections in the head unit. Besides from the plug rattling loose over the years, corrosion would create an open loop as well.

If all is well, there is a multitude of tests that can be performed on nearly every connection on your Spree. Section 14 of the manual.... http://www.hondaspree.net/other/Spree_NQ50_84-87_1.pdf
I need to find some new haters...the ones I have are starting to like me.
