I have two used Corsa cylinders that are in need of re-honing. I looked at Flex-Hone's website and there are a hundred customizable options. I believe the Corsa is 47mm, but they only have 45mm and 48mm sizes.

What size, abrasive, and grit should I get?

I'm going to try answer my own question.. Thinking the 1-7/8" (47.625mm), silicon carbide, 240 grit. Thinking the 240 might be a little on the coarse side, but I'm looking to lift out a few vertical lines I can feel with my finger. If it looks to coarse, I can always run another finer one next.

Just get a new one, theyre cheap. Then you get new rings, gaskets, piston, sparkplug and even a small end bearing.

I bought one used kit from a member here, which I now wish I went with a new one. The other cylinder I got with a bike, also from a member here. I got a new piston kit on it's way. Chrome ring on top, black on bottom right?

Here's the hone I bought:

Well I honed one of the cylinders and it looks pretty good. There's more 45 deg crosshatching now than even the factory. It almost has a cloudy appearance. Hard to see any left over vertical scratches and any glazed spots are completely gone. I used WD-40 as lubricant and was only in there for a few seconds. I might try the 320 grit next time as this 240 really went to town quick. If you got a badly grooved cylinder, I think the 240 is probably the right grit, otherwise 320 will get the job done.
