Sb 50 intake and reeds on stock spree

Post by jmarzousa1 »

Hello I just purchased a MLM exhaust for my stock spree....I am wondering If the sb 50 intake/reed mod would help out or is it not even worth it ....I know you should have the carburetor also but I was planning on just adding the extra port to the intake..thank you for any info!

Yes, will help. Spree intake is too restricted. Much better flow with the SB50. Since you don't have the carb as well (or maybe you do)... You'll need to run premix and delete the oil pump. I'd suggest a starting point of 40:1. Some say 32:1, but that's just a little heavy on the oil IMHO.

Thanks just don't plan on doing the bbk yet just had the opportunity to get the pipe...and was wondering if anything small would help...I know I may have to increase my jet size...I haven't installed the pipe yet but I do have a new exhaust gasket for it when i change it.
