What is the best way to clean the fuel tank on a 1986 Honda Spree. A lot of gunk in the bottom after draining

Pull the filter out and just flush it out if its just loose bits. For the stubborn gunk, rust or other funky buildup Ive heard of people dumping a bunch of gravel in (yes, gravel) and shaking the heck out of it to break stuff loose…then dump and rinse. Order new filter because the old one usually gets destroyed pulling it out. If the tank is super bad you can coat it with Red Kote or similar brand. Youtube can help you with the procedure on that. Ive never done it myself but I bought a scooter that had it done already and I never had a problem.
