Does anybody know the gasket type used for the base of the engine barrel? I'd buy a set online but currency conversion plus shipping means cheapest one I can buy is around 70$ a set. So trying to buy material local and cut it out myself. Thanks.

You cut a hole in notebook paper and put it over the top. Trace the outer edge and port bump outs. Trim until it's right; add back using tape and paper. Trace final pattern onto commercially-available bulk gasket material (check local auto stores), cut with razor blade, and install. Whole process should take less than 1 hr.

Most of Honda gaskets, IIRC, use 0.5mm material. The automotive stuff will likely be 0.7mm, which is close enough for what you're using it for.

Here's a PNG file of the Spree gaskets that I made. I drew them up in Illustrator, and cut them with my plotter out of sheet gasket material... Let me know if you need it in any other format.

That link just goes to a blank site and when saving the image, it's black too.

Cheapest local I can find is 40 bucks for half a square metre oh crap. Still cheaper than a kit, and there's more material than I need so I guess it'll have to do.
