Howdy,
Its been a very long day and i am at a complete loss as to what i should do.
I got my moped all torn down and gone through everything i can think of.
i own a Honda CH80 elite 1997 that i fixed up three years ago and it has been riding like a dream and with zero issues.
Now out of the blue i have no headlight, blinkers or instrument lights.
I have replaced all the blinker bulbs with zero function still,
then i researched that my blinker relay might be out
and that i could replace it with a simple car relay
so i picked up a 3 prong car relay and hooked up three wires
and tried unsuccessfully different wiring combinations to make them work!
As for the headlight i'm assuming the bulb is out
since i've already cleaned the switch(cleaned the blinker switch as well)
and was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to take the lens apart with out breaking it
and just wire in a standard head light from NAPA.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated and will send any pictures y'all need.
Thank you

From your description, it sounds as if the lighting coil in the alternator has expired.
You can find and download the service manual for a wiring schematic and some values for testing the charging system.
If the manual isn't included in the files on this board, they are certainly available @ motorscooterguide.net .
As for the headlight, that item is a sealed beam of very specific design that is replaced as a unit.
Some owners have altered them by cutting the "bulb" off the glass
and fabricating the mounting of an automobile H-4 type bulb in its place.
Save your old flasher, it may still be good, headlight too...if the lighting coil has failed,
you will need to replace it.
Hope you get lucky and find a wire loose in the harness, I would start there.

Test the headlight by putting 12v to it direct from the battery with alligator clips or something. If ALL your lights went out at the same time, your problem isnt going to be a burned out headlight bulb.

Burned out headlamps are usually due to blown regulator allowing overvoltage at the headlamp. Check this voltage first, if it's over 13.8V or so with battery in system (you do have a battery, right?) replace regulator. These are an easy item to find in aftermarket.
