Acceleration problems, and a few others.

Post by Mikael »

Well, here's the deal, I have an '86 honda spree(duh.. *Laughs out Loud*) and there's a few problems with it right now.. I've gotten it from not starting at all to running decent, except for the fact that it won't go over fifteen miles per hour, the back break freezes up everytime I use it, and there's some problems with the starter(So, until that's fixed, I'll just use the kickstarter :P) I'm pretty new to anything dealing with mechanics, (Only fourteen, and well, I was pretty much just into programming until now.) But I've gotten all of the stuff with the spree,(Or at least most of it) down by memorization, via use of the internet, and various books. So, if anyone has any ideas how I could repair it, please reply via email or posting a reply. Anything at all would be of much assistance, so, if you might know what would help, or at least has a chance of helping, please do reply.

Thanks,
-Mikael

1) Go to tech docs and start reading, esp. on carb cleaning.
2) You need to service the starter pinion. WD40 and compressed air to clean.
3) Inspect / replace or oil up your rear cable b/f you high-side your scoot.
