Honda Elite SA50P Stator

Post by purplenurple »

I have a 2000 Honda Elite SA50P.

I believe the stator is shot, I still have to test it but I'm sure that's what it is. It struggles to even run blinkers at idle, and wont run brake lights and a blinker at the same time.

Since these are discontinued through Honda, does anyone know if there is another stator out there that could be rigged to work? Or is there anywhere I could possibly find an OEM or aftermarket stator? Possibly even a shop that rebuilds them?

Thanks in advance!

Greetings:

All the lights except the headlamp and instrument cluster in fact depend on the battery, not the stator. Start by testing that. Anything much below 13 volts is not so good. Batteries last 3 years in brutal Deepinnaharta, Texas. Maybe a bit longer up north.
