Post by dubsdeep »

the break to my back tire is very tight, i'v backed the cable off a bit but it still stays tight. i was wondering if this is just how it's suposed to be or is there something wrong with my rear break?

if you loosened the cable and it does the same the cable is probably rusty and you either need a new one or need to try to clean it with wd40. make sure no oil gets on the brake shoes.

You may also want to clean out the outer-drum piece with some rumming alcohol to clean out any old BRAKE dust and build up. Vette is right, make sure no oil gets on the BRAKE shoe, this will make you not stop at all. It would fix your problem, but cause another. lol.

ive noticed (and found out the hard way) if the brake is adjusted too tight and rubs when the wheel spins it fades a lot. it kind of sucks when you are getting closer and closer to a stop light while cars are passing through, and are desprately trying to stop the bike and pulling on the handels as hard as you can and nothing happening.lol.

Then people will look at you like, "Well, he shouldn't have a scooter anyways......dumb kid!" I've had a few of these people look at me like this and laugh and shake their head. Wait, or was it becasuse of the pipe I have on it. Or maybe it was because I was riding my motorbike. I know, it was both....my motorbike with the pipe we put on it. lol.
