Trying to get an af16 elite to run

Need some help with an af16 elite. It will run great at first after starting it, but as soon as I let off and give it gas again, it bogs bad and doesn't go above 10mph. After letting it sit for a few minutes, it will run fine until letting off. I've cleaned the carb, changed the petcock, changed coil, and put it new spark plug. Is there anything else I should check because I'm not sure what else it could be.

Try replacing vacuum line. Also check to be sure the insulator between the intake and carb is correctly installed and o-rings are in place. Do you have an air filter, oiled and in place? Are there any leaks at or around the air box? Is this your first scooter? I don't know your experience level so please understand my questions.

Greetings:

I surmise a Clue from the statement that "it will run great at first...", suggesting that it's running at low speed off the open bystarter circuit. Once it closes the Pilot circuit isn't functioning, as suggested by its behavior. If one of Bone's excellent suggestions solves the issue, great! If not, it's back to the Carb Dip and a more careful assessment of the Pilot circuit. Lots of How-To threads in Tech for this.

Smells like an air leak...possible carb/intake area, crank seal or base gasket. Runs great at first from all the air sucking in, then warms up and doesn't like it.

Ended up trying a different stock carb and it works now after making a few adjustments.
