Af16 Crank Seals

Post by nateberrier »

From what I can see, my AF16 swap has some oil leaking into the crank case down behind the variator. I havent checked behind the stator but everything looked dry when i took the fan cover off last. Can I just order them and pound them in with a socket?

Here a seal swap with a puller but Ive done plenty with makeshift hook tools. Whatever you use, just be certain you dont scratch or damage the smooth surface of the crank itself. If you scrape it up, it will never properly seal...even with a new seal.

I need to find some new haters...the ones I have are starting to like me.

Rad, that looks super straight forward, i was gonna dig a solder pick into the seal and pull on it, but ill be careful around mr crank. IIRC there isnt much seal left, could see bearings
