Not to hijack this thread, but I’ve been digging through my stuff this morning as I’m piecing a variated AF05E swapped Spree together. I have an AF05E from a 90’s SA50. It looks like the stock SE50 pipe I have laying around will bolt on. I also have an unrestricted SE50 pipe. Question is, which pipe will work better with the stock carb that came with my engine?

Use the unrestricted pipe, if it is from and Elite S or an Aero. You can’t unrestrict the restricted pipe (easily), there is no washer.

Oh, if you go unrestricted, make sure you jet up from the stock 82 to 84-86.

Thanks for the info. What size jet did my SA50 come with?

I assume the restricted version is the same as mine, 82. When I was doing the same thing, I swapped to the unrestricted size (Elite S or Elite R in 1987), which is 85, but I only had 84 and 86.
