Carburetor
Can anyone tell me why I have to keep putting starting fluid in my carb to start my 1986 spree? Might be a newbie question but I've only recently acquired it and know next to nothing about it.. I have replaced the electronic choke and spark plug.

Re: Carburetor
Also I have a replacement carb, but not everything lines up correctly..
Re: Carburetor
Fuel evaporates from carb bowl or you have a leaky bowl or bowl drain screw. There’s a vent near the top of carb that should have a hose on it which would prevent quick evaporation. Be sure you have the air box in use and not leaking air unnecessarily into the carb.

Re: Carburetor
Something else to check, if you have a stock PA stamped carb, the bowl has an enrichment circuit that is used by the bystarter. If its clogged you wont be able to start easily.
