Im not super familiar with the af18, i know its very similar to an af16. I would think you need an af16 intake or an aftermarket intake that would have the vacuum for the petcock. I have a couple around, as do others here probably

No, you need to drill and tap 1/4” nipple just under the oil pump where the flat area is. The floor tank requires a pulse to operate so the nipple has to be from crankcase, south of the reeds.

Not sure about fitment on the af09 block with or without modifying it.
Besides that, it’s showing that it’s sold out πŸ™

so if I understyand you correctly, youre putting an af18 into an af09/ second generation aero? if so. you don't need a fuel pump because the af09 gas tank is above the engine. all you need is the vacuum line from intake manifold to the fuel tap/petcock.
if youre putting an af09 engine (af05e) into a dio sr af18 chassis. then you can tap a ct/dio intake for the pulse. important that you tap in the lower intake piece. you need to be on the crankcase side of the reeds. if not, and done like pic motormike posted, youll only get negative pulses. the fuel pump needs negative and positive pulses for pump to work properly. ive done this a few times when running a diaphragm carburetor like a walbro. as long as you tap past the reeds you should be ok. this is hard to do with stock intake and reeds. you could also tap the engine cases by the oil pump. itll be hard to keep drill savings out of motor though. be careful. or if you are running premixed and blocked off the oil pump hole, you can pull that plug out and tap it for a screw in barb fitting, clean off all shavings and reinstall. I would only drill and tap into engine case if engine was disassembled. so all metal shavings can be cleaned out properly

thank you

but my problem is no flat surface under the oil pump, the AF18e has a flat surface where the pulse line is.

I have seen an engine before then there is a nipple drilled somewhere in the crankcase aligned between the 2 flywheel of the crankshaft then he out some high temp epoxy / jb weld

can I use the nipple from the old stock carburetor,

im putting the AF 09 engine to a honda Dio 2 chasis with floor mounted gas tank. so i need to add a pulse line drilled to the crankcase.

no. you need positive and negative pulses with the fuel pump. so you need to tap in to below the reed valve. any port from the carb to the reeds will only be negative pulses.

THANKS for catching my mistake bonesv.
I assumed I knew what I was talking about when I was just not reading the post.
